So, I go to (finally) reinstall SS2 on my new machine.

It says, you need .net framework.

Bleh, M$, but okay.

I install it, reboot...

'You need .net framework'

... Oh, well, that's just peachy.

I had that same problem, there is a version that is already to use.  get it instead

To make Tanthalas' post clear, SS2 works only with that specific (older) version of .net, install that even if your XP/Vista includes a newer version per default.
