im looking at having a few days in Europe (Germany to be specific) when I rotate home at the end of September.  Any advice on things I should go see (this will be my first time ever in Europe), any advice would be greatly apreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Edit: Also if there is a chance Id like to start playing again once I get back (I know my precious Italia is taken T.T).

T,

if you'd let us known that you got a tour in Iraq paid by the DoD Italy'd been reserved.
The questions are where around Germany and what do you want to see.

Towns/cities?
Any capital city. Pick one of Vienna/London/Rome/Paris. You could spend a whole week in/around any without seeing everything that is worth it.
There are a lot of low-cost airlines so getting to any major city should not be a problem at all. They live on tourism, though, although September should not be that bad. Expensive.

Oktoberfest? München, Sep 20-Oct 5. Do travel arrangements ASAP.

Castles?
Schloss Neuschwanstein in Bavaria.

Or look around in the area you are.

Armored Vehicle Museums?
Munster (NOT Münster, without the umlaut!)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deutsches_Panzermuseum
The most accessible one, the rest (Saumur and Bovington) are a bit out of the way.

thanks P3D, i got rather involved geting ready to go, I thought id be able to get access fairly easy once I got here (Boy was I ever wrong LOL).  anyway ill be cycling through (and processing out (AGAIN >.< ) through Ramstein.  As for a country realy ill take anything available that will support my penchant for pushing the limits of lightweight firepower (Perhaps I could even arange somthing with Italy to get my Beloved Aircraft back =P )

anyway im gona try and hit the site up when im not playing Cop (realy all we are doing over here now)

I almost hesitate to propose this, but...

Maybe Mesoamerica needs to become an active player country?

miketr

I will hold off on doing updates Mesoamerica...

Other choices are New Switzerland, Firanj and of course the Middle Kingdom but I really think we should consider breaking it up...

Mesoamerica and Firanj with the BP increase should be 9 BP countries they could build fairly powerful 3rd rank navies, IMHO.

Didnt realise MK was available, and what is the NS situation (are they still about a midrange power?).  I wont realy be able to do much till the end of next month, so I have time to decide.  However if the MK is left as is I cant say i would be objectional to taking it over, puts me far enough away that I dont consider invading anyone to boot (well unless the New Swiss Devils Count)  Actualy MK would be fun, I promise no super dreadnaughts if im allowed to take it over (realy I do honest).  However the NS could be fun to with their super cruisers (they didnt all get sunk right?)  anyway I will try and hop on tomorow and see what yall think.

NS is still pretty strong, and all the Super Cruisers survived. The Swiss also have the only working aircraft carrier (well half an aircraft carrier) and have very good aircraft.

Hey Italia still has an Aircraft Carrier and as of this HY 1913 once I finish transcribing it will be purchasing a large contingent of Aircraft to test and evaluate.   By 1914 Italia will be building 1914 type Aircraft !!!!!  I just had to well lets not get into the groveling, bribing, blackmailing that went into accomplishing this.   It falls unde official secrets and the dont ask dont tell policy  ;D :o ::)

The Aircraft carrier will even be reactivated in Spring 1913 for testing purposes  ;)

well lets see my interests on landing.
#1 BEER
#2 History (my GroBvater was german afterall)
I also have a fairly basic understanding of the german language (my dad is fluent knew i should have payed atention lol) I can read it (some anyway) and speak a little (I understand more than I can actualy speak)

Now for the Case to let me take over NS or MK
#1 I understand the "history" behind both countries (I have even read several of the old stories)
#2 I like siming out ships (and drawing them) and both countries need some pics to go with their fleets.
#3 im semi experianced.

now for my personal reasons for prefering MK (if its not geting broken up that is).
#1 I REALY dont want to be at war with a super power from the start lol
#2 See #1

CTW be carefull with that carrier, it was intended to get well blown up lol.

Tanthalas, were in Germany are you going to be for how many few days?

It's not that big a trip for us to get there and have a few, or less than a few beers.

I know were the airbase is.  A 6 hour drive for us.

Not lightely done, not to say hi, have a beer and drive back.

So, if it's 3 days ,and we know a large week in advance, we can do it.

I will be carefull Im using it to test all my $1 worth of planes to see what they can and cant do.  Sea Planes, Carrier Landings, Maritime Patrol, Bombing, Torpedo Attack [Just barely to early] and then by 1914 I will be producing my own 1914 Aircraft and will have a good Idea what I can do with them.

Ya I was testing bombing (the tests were riged but I never got to post that in my news) the reality was with the planes I was using, I was doing good to even get to the freking target area letalone actualy hit anything ^.^
