QuoteAny nation may contract another player-nation to construct, refit, or repair a ship.

The dollar cost of building, refitting or repairing a ship in a foreign yard is 25% higher than doing so at home; this reflects differences in construction techniques and materials used between the different nations.
Question, how about cases such as New Zion where my construction techniques are based on those of New Switzerland. Would I still have to pay the 25% for ships ordered from NS?

About floating drydocks: Should it be possible to move them to ports smaller then the dry-docks size?  That is moving say a type 2 dry-dock to a type 1 port?

Personally I think it should be, as that would make the floating dry-dock more appealing, and as they cannot be used for building ships it makes sense that they would not require quite as much supporting infrastructure.

But do others think it would be un-balancing?

I have no problem with that.  I'm not even certain I'd require the floating dock to be in a port when it's working...

I meant that I thought it could be based at an anchorage without an existing military port - for instance, a bay with a little fishing village on it.

Or say in one of those Large Coral Atols that dot the Pacific or even in a sheltered bay somewhere.  It would require all the spare parts to be shiped in but combine a few depot ships and a floating dry dock and you can take the floating drydock to were the damaged ship is located if you think its worth saving...  ;D

A floating drydock is perfectly capable to hold a vessel, even in a storm. (exceptions are of course proof of the rule)
But it's prefered to have a sheltered anchorage.

In game terms, if a floating drydock is used to repair a vessel away from a port, at least the moderators overlooking the situation need the info were it's used.
Somewere in a Pacific atoll ain't specific enough, and could cause some "problems".
