On September 11th, 1912, the Maori embassies to the DKB, New Swiss, Iberians, Colombians, CSA, Italians, NUS, and French inform those governments that, a 14:27 local time on the tenth of September, 1912, Liftship Number 14 picked up a partially jammed radio distress call in Spanish at (OOC: coordinates off the northeast coast of Maoria not filled in due to player laziness) while on routine patrol. Turning northwest, she searched the area for signs of the distressed ship and questioned all vessels encountered. A list of the names, registration, destinations, course-at-time-and-coordinates, and testimonies of those ships follows; the highlights are a New Swiss freighter that confirms hearing a distress call from a ship named Halcon which was under attack by an unidentified cruiser, and SMS Herta, which claimed to have heard no distress call. None of the other vessels admitted to carrying radios.

We will assist in the questioning and investigation of the events in question if requested and provide access, with supervision of course, to needed individuals to assist in finding out what has occurred.  Please direct further questions to the appropriate naval officers which will be available to assist in this, addresses and numbers of which will be provided in an attached document.
