Great, then you can start researching amphibious warfare.
The first purpose of a warship is to remain afloat. Anon.
Below 40 degrees, there is no law. Below 50 degrees, there is no God. sailor's maxim on weather in the Southern seas

Ahoj!
And what did you do about this over the next 2 years of playing?

Using harbors and lifeboats for invasions.  See the invasions on the MK port cities.   1000's of undefended miles, and the orders were "take the ports, and shoot whatever bathtubs the Chinese have  there."

It worked beautifully as the MK was caught with the pants down there.

Desertfox

I did nothing about it because I never knew you could research it. I would have if I had known.

The essence of the hidden tech tree of the old board, Desertfox
You asked if you could use bacteriological warfare, and you gained the ability to start with chlorine and plagues at 0.  Better than anyone else except France and the Middle Kingdom (Phoenixs asked me the same question)

You never asked me if you could try to get better ways of invading over beaches.
Borys and Earl822 asked me about  "inventing" new amphibious assault ways.

That is the big difference.
