Which, if any of these would you build?

Overall, I like the Coronel. The thinner deck is a strive vs. Almirante, but the main battery layout is much better. Also, cheaper. Rivadavia would never even be in the running.

Ahoj!
I'm not excited by neither.
The battleships are simply too weakly armed. Such hulls, or minimally larger, with a minimal cut of speed, can carry 8-10 13,5" guns.
The Armoured Cruiser (Almirante Seydlitz?) does carry some merit.

It's becoming very obvious that w/o bigger guns I'm going to be out of the battleship game. Perhaps it's for the best, I really don't have the BP to be building them. Maybe I'll switch to a Juene Ecole navy. Build a mass of D-100 & D-200s and a nice group of Neuva and Toreador PCs.

Why not just buy the guns aboard? If only needing 8-10 big guns, I think it would be cheaper then developing them yourself even if the seller has a 100% profit margin.

Otherwise i am inclined to agree with borys, none of the designs are really a god investment in my mind.
They are all lacking in horizontal protection, and/or hitting power.

The battleships pack the same firepower as the Swiss Independance class at a higher cost but much lower speed (7 knots). I wouldn't bother with any of them. The battlecruiser on the other hand... Now THAT ship I would build.

Nice drawings  ;)

I agree with Borys, for a 1912 LD, they have not enough fire power
A full boardside with 4T2x13"5 (Oviedo)
or 5T2x12" (Rivadavia) is the minimum.
(6T2x12" are better).
I prefer Rivadavia with BB protection

Rivadavia with 8x11", 27kts and 1.5" TBH. I'd build two of her class instead of the slow cruisers on the other thread.

I can't, given my current location, see the image you posted at the top of the thread.  However, my comments would generally be:

-If you're going to lose the numbers game anyway, it's better to focus on the quality of the ships you do build.

-Consult with your larger allies, who may be able to help out in some of the non-core functions/areas you need covered.  For example, you might be able to concentrate on battleships if assured that Gran Colombia would, in certain scenarios, provide armored cruiser support to you.

Ahoj!
I saved you 2 BP :)

B MG Turret is superfiring, no need for X to be superfiring.
The MB is narrow, but on the thick side. Above it everything is armoured.
Fight at large distances and every enemy cruiser is dead.
