The Netherlands ambassador in Wien is recalled to Hague for consultations and further instructions.

The Ambassador in Istanbul is asking for meetings with senior Ottoman ministers, together with the Dutch attaches of industry and military.

Extra inspections of the permanent (Asian) straits mine lines will de conducted, as well as reinforced.

Extra amphibious operations training will be conducted around north Borneo and in the south Atlantic. But no raise in the general level of naval readiness.

Korpen,

what about setting up a scenario in TOAW III? You could use the Balkans map without any change.

In light of the increased tension around the Ottoman empire the Kingdom of the united Netherlands make the following promise. Any attempt by anyone to destroy, close, or in any way disrupt the shipping and traffic to the port of Jeddah will trigger direct Netherlands intervention. The same goes for any other attempt direct or indirect to disrupt the 1912 Hajj in any way and thereby endanger pious Netherlands subjects will trigger direct intervention.

The United Kingdom of the Netherlands, as well as the East Sea Confederation, hereby guarantees the independence and territorial sovereignty of the Kingdom of Romania as long as the Kingdom of Rumania remains Neutral in the Balkan war. Any attempt by the belligerents or other states to by force or other means try and force Rumania to give up it sacred neutrality will be met by a most forceful response by the Kingdom of the United Netherlands as well as the Confederation of the East Sea (Baltic confederation).

Dutch newspapers have managed to aquire a deck plan showing the conditions under which the iberians intend to ship the Muslim "refugees" across the atlantic:

This drawing only show the roomy upper deck, the three lower deck are more crowded.
