I would talk to Miketr about most questions about Greece.  He is not only the Iberian Player but he does the Greek budgets and keeps them up to date sort of.

Greece is in effect a puppet nation of Iberia in the sense the old Warsaw Pact nations were puppets of the Soviet Union.  Its in theory a free nation but they don't have much freedom of action.  Also their economy is to be honest tiny in game terms you would be able to build a few TB's a turn, or a DD, building a light cruiser would be a major effort.  Also large sections of their economy are owned by Iberia and the Hapsburgs.

Bavaria also has a interest in Greece.

The King of the Greeks is the uncle of the Iberian Emperor

If it wasn't for the fact that I screwed them over so much in terms of their budget (they have no free cash for a few years) and turned them into a total pariah (they attacked France and have cannibal cultists) I would suggest Bharat instead.

I will look around for some stories that show the Iberian involvement in the Greek revolt of 1912.

Greece also has a large disgruntled Jewish population in Thessaloniki that was receiving weapons and money from New Zion.

Irony of ironies, I just sent you a PM.

So the Greeks have an awful lot of IOUs to pay back then?

On the other hand there is Ireland, you have more BP, more money in general. And are farther advanced.

The thing is with Ireland, it is located off of the UNK and France and it's main benefactors are the somewhat antagonist to both of them (being the Dutch, Bavarians, and Confederates (ESC) in general).

But having benefactors that give allow you to digest techs for free to keep up with the evil enemies at across the channel and bay does have it's perks.

Not exactly they have 1 BP of which half is "owned" by Iberia; so they need to provide part of their BP production to Iberia.  I do this in form construction projects for stuff like ports.

Any IC is owned by the Hapsburgs perhaps 2.  I would need to check my notes.  Greece needs to pay $1.2 cash to Hapsburgs.  If you want to get out of this you would need to buy out the BP and IC, but since this would cost over $100 on a budget of like $10 a turn this could be a bit of a problem.

Various outside nations are attempting to manipulate Greek politics.

Here is some stuff on the revolt.

How about Egypt which I think we have to consider available now?

And don't get too smug about Greek invulnerability.  :P

ctwaterman

Yes I'm sorry to say I have not heard from now sceene Ciders on line for a while.

Egypt has recently made a profitable treaty with Italia and France.   They got basically 2 IC or $150 of economic aid for Improvements in the Suez Canal Zone and Exploration of the possibility of expanding Egypts Oil Production.

Hrm... I've been exploring Ireland and Greece, I'll take a look at Egypt.  I only looked at the NPC countries originally because they were the ones that looked available.
