It never made the news as the Treaty never was signed due to Alchiki leaving. But the Ottomans and Swiss came close to forming a defensive alliance against Austria. I mentioned that during the war.

I heard of it enough - perhaps just via PM - to believe that such discussions were taking place.  However, it seems the Mods have determined that no such treaty was actually signed; perhaps the Ottomans, while NPC, determined that it would create more enemies than it would garner friends.

The good news is that Vukovlad still has some time to engage in diplomacy and find allies against the various infidels.

http://www.navalism.org/index.php?board=135.0  are all open for sure (although id advise against Egypt same reason as Ottomans) and anything gray on the map is also available

My interest in India is a result of the internal promise to myself that if the Maori's plans to take back 'Brandenburg' succeed, swamphen would be quite within his rights to be rather upset. So, I would give up control of the Maori in his favor and move on to other pastures...

I might be coming back to re-take over the OE if you'll have me.. depending on how real life goes in the next few months. Unless Vukovlad is still up to playing.  :)

As mentioned, the OE is hugely fortified and has a massive army. I was in negotiations with DF before dropping off the face of the earth.

It would be fun to overhaul the Caliphate. Still, no commitments as of yet, things are too flux-y right now.  :-\

Caliphate might not be the best idea, with the (AFAIK) moderator-approved Italian invasion planned for 1912.
