Primeminister Lebermanns office.Karlstad.

Good morning Admiral.
Good morning,Primeminister.
Adm Randvaror stod attention .
Ohh,sorry ,please sit down,Lebermann pointed at a chair,I have called you today for two reasons, one,I want to know about how the navy will organize the Greenland-expedion,the other is more of a political question, but first the expedition!
The admiral smiled and said;Just yesterday the keel for the expedition-cutter Aurora Borealis was laid at Navy-base Reykyavik and will be ready to sail next spring.
How will it be manned?:Lebermann asked.
The Navy will provide a Comander,a Obersteuermann,a Engineer,a Bootsmann and two Masckinisten and a icelandic Pilot ,rest of the crew will consist of sceintists ,and 4 eskimoes and 60 dogs: Adm Randvaror answered.
60 dogs!?  Lebermann asked.
Yes! Adm Randvaror answered,It is the only way of transpotation in the far North,so the dogs is a absolute.
The expedition will consist of 29 sceintists and explorers, and the plan is to use the summer next year to sail as far north along the coast as possible, then winter over for two to three years and map and excevate as far north as possible and find out, if though remotely possible, if the North Pole is a part of Greenland, Adm Randvaror paused.
How will you select the sceintists? Lebermann asked .
We will ask around all our universities for brigthest off the young to join, and the Navy will pick their finest! Adm Randvaror said.
Well,Lebermann continued ;My second question is as I said before of a more political nature. Both The Liberal Party and Bondpartiet is pressuring giving to the socialist demands on improving housing, education and heahltcare. My question is how the military stand in this issue?
First the military swear allgience to the constitution; Adm Randvaror answered angrily,We refuse to be drawn into your political bickering and secondly you must understand that, due to the heavy looses in the second Franco-German war our officer-corps was decimated,so now our officers ,due to their young age, liberal-minded and furthermore we belive it will benefit our nation as a whole.Content workers gives lesser strikes, higher productivity and not the least a good educated population gives skilled and dedicated soldiers!
Lebermann growled; It also mean higher taxes ,and it was not my intention to question your loyalty.
Apology accepted; Adm Randvaror replied, and we mean that the increase of taxation will pay it self back in increased productivity.
Lebermann sighed;Well, then I better give in,and looked at the admiral with begging eyes.
