Karlstad Military H.Q

The Navy is represented by Adm. Randvaror, the Army by Cheif of Staff General-oberst.Heinrich,Herzog zum Mecklenburg

Good Morning Adm.Randvaror!

Good Morning Heinrich

Any news; Asvaldr?

Yes a matter of fact;disturbing news this time ,from the Carribian.

Soo,what is amiss?

Pirates!

Pirates?

Yes pirates and moreover it looks like the despicable Anahuac is reappearing and strong indications show that the Mesoamericans may be involved as well!!

Is there a need to increase the garrison at Bermuda?

No, not for the time being, but it is may be prudent to make preperations if neccesary, but for now I think it will be enough to dispatch 1 or 2 destroyers to Bermuda to back up The  Carribean sqdr!

Do we have to take other measures in this situation?

No,the primeminister have sent a strong diplomatic note to the Mesoamericans, and the navy has obtained a design for a patrol-vessel from the Dutch, which can be build at Bermuda and we plan to build two or three which will be based locally!

I hope that will do it,any news besides?

Yes, the Preussen along with 2 ligth Cruisers will be ready for action in the following year and in january next year our capital ships will be equipped with new Capped Shells which have a improved armour-piercing capabillity and improved accuarcy!
But any news from the Army?

Not,much but I have another issue to discuss with you, namely the distribution of funds for research !

What is the problem?

The problem is that nearly all of our research funds is going to the navy,I fear that the army will lack behind!Somehow this problem must be adressed and a solution must be found.

I must agree to your point of wiev, but I can promise you that from next year things will be different,I propose that our research will be more evenly spread I propose a 5-2-1 solution: 5 for the navy, 2 for the army and, 1 for our new airforce.

That is agreeable for me,anything else?

No,not for the time being

Hamburg 23/3 10

Well young man, your first time in Reykyavik ,Cpt.Gudjohnsson smiled and turned to Rolf.

Yes captain.

Are you looking forward to see our new ship?

Yes captain.

Both of them walked down the harbour to inspect the Aurora Borealis laying at her moorings.

Well young man the rest of the crew will arrive in a few weeks so now we have the time to accustom ourselves with our new ship, are you excited?

Yes captain, I am quite excited but also a bit apprehensive,it is a long time away from everything,3 years in the Arctic!

Yes but if we all of plan this thing carefully I presume we will manage all-rigth,and we start loading supplies allready by the end of this week. Then we will take some small training cruises, before we depart in the beginning of June to the small village of Angmassalikk to the pick up our Greenlanders with their dogs.

Greenlanders capt?

Yes, We will embark four eskimoes and 60 dogs, which will join the expedition, and than we will sail as far north as we can and then winter over .

But how about the rest of the expedition?

Our navy colleges arrive as I said,in a few weeks and the sceintists arrives around the first of May,and then we should be ready to disembark.

Reykyavik 29/5 10

To day the Aurora Borealis left harbour in Reykyavik for the three years epedition to the unexplored North-East Greenland!
Flags were flying in on all flagpoles in the city, when the expedition left harbour earlier today.
The expedition will hopefully map the remaining uncharted areas of Greenland during the next three years and investigate the eventual natural resources in the area.
The crew consist of both navy-personel and sceintists,as cartograhpers, geologist and meterologics and 4 Inuit-hunters and 60 dogs, who in teams will conduct the survey.

On behalf of the editorial staff our newspaper wish the expedition a happy return.

Hamburg-Altona 18/6 10

Daddy daddy look!;the timbre voice from his youngest son greeted Albert when he returned from work,Our first strawberries,he looked down at the eager shining eyes of his son.
He fell on his knee, hugging the child while he tried to swallow the rising lump in his throat while thougths raced through his mind;So much blood and turmoil in the rebellion and now all that he had fougth for, somehow had come through a house,a secure job and a happy family.
Somehow the sun seemed to shine brigther when he raised himself and took his son by the hand and walked up to the door to his new home.
