QuoteShip cost in $ equals BP cost. Disregard SS2 price.

Why?  I rather like the realism of having a fast destroyer being more expensive than a larger, slower patrol vessel.

P3D

Actually, we can increase the price for ships built under the destroyer rules, say, a 25% more (roughly corresponding to RN destroyer prices), to reflect the higher machinery weight.

Price based on SS would have to account for inflation after 1913, and some people used displacement as a base to calculate ship maintenance.

The Rock Doctor

That would be a reasonable alternative, I suppose.

I have no issue avoiding things like inflation.

P3D

I update the changes accordingly.

No complaints on the 25% markup for DDs, and I too see no issue with avoiding inflation.

No issue with the DD rules for increased cost.  Are we still using the 1/4 cost for commerical uses and support ships (tenders, repair ships, etc)?

P3D

I removed the need to pay for ships at laying down. Any money squeeze would be solved by saving up money beforehand, which would just lead to unnecessary work.

I am considering increasing merchant ship $ cost, keeping BP cost the same ($0.5 and 0.25BP/1000t).

How much time does it take to repiar a 15,000 ship which suffered 10% damage?

On that 15K tonne BB with 10% - not two months? Not at 1000 tonnes/month?

I updated the Technology tables in the rules section.
