Some pics of big guns here. The photos of the 38cm gun are particualry interesting. Seems to me like a well prepared position, including 60cm (?) tracks for hauling ammo about.
Interesting how tiny 21cm or 24cm weapons look compared to the 42cm mortar, or that 38cm.
The abandoned Italian 12-15cm guns look like pea shoters :)

For Rocky - it was possible to transport 12 inch mortars on 2' track. But it had to be prepared with some care.
