Ethnicity:  Primarily Spanish, with a Norman minority in Jamaica and some Indigenous peoples, primarily in the more rural interior.
Official Language: Spanish; Norman is legal in Jamaica, and indigenous languages still used locally.
Official Religion: Roman Catholicism; Protestantism unrecognized but tolerated in Jamaica, for now.

-Northern part of South America and the Darien isthmus of Central America (historical Colombia, Panama, Venezuela, Guyana, Ecuador, plus their historical offshore possessions; also the historical Brazilian states of Roraima and Amazonas)

-The Caribbean (historical Cuba, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, and the Windward Islands from Trinidad to St. Lucia.

Climate: A mix of tropical and humid equatorial; warm humid in the Cordillera

Natural Resources: Copper, iron, manganese, lead, zinc, mercury and aluminum; silver, emeralds, and limited gold, platinum and alluvial diamonds; salt, suplhur; coal, oil and natural gas fields (latter not currently exploited or likely even known); coffee, bananas, cocoa, corn, cotton, wheat, citrus fruits, rubber; cattle, shellfish, fish.

Natural Hazards: Volcanoes, earthquakes around Colombia; hurricanes in the Caribbean; malaria and yellow fever widespread.
