Wow... I didn't know I had an island in the Caribbean.
So 'ere's to you, Fuzzy-Wuzzy, at your 'ome in old Baghdad;
You're a pore benighted 'eathen but a first-class fightin' man;
We gives you your certificate, an' if you want it signed
We'll come an' 'ave a romp with you whenever you're inclined.

A remnant of the previous CSA player's adventure against the Island Commonwealth (=Jamaica) was a long term lease on Antigua, or whatever that is.  So far as I know, that lease is in effect despite the change in ownership.

Hm, Puerto Rico REMAINED in Spanish hands? Does not make sense at all, it should belong to either Gran Columbia (if it were Spanish) or...Gran Columbia (if it were ICW).

Ahoj!
Puerto Rico stayed Spanish - Gra Columbia overlooked it.

When I first joined the game part of my house cleanning was to address a few things, PR was one of them.  I talked with Rock Doctor and he told me to effect that he didn't see an opening to take it over with zero effort, or something to that effect.  After getting Cuba and finding out it didn't have the economy he thought he didn't want another adventure.  So it was left out on the vine till I showed up.

I would be annoyed if its ownership changes by fiat at this point.

It's yours MikeTR. At the old board it was Spanish, it still is here.

The Rock Doctor

Agreed.  Had Gran Colombia not gotten distracted by events in Brazil, I'd probably have moved on Puerto Rico.  But Gran Colombia did get distracted by events in Brazil...

And as Mike alluded to, the economic value of Puerto Rico likely isn't worth the cost of taking it by force from a nation that now shares a lengthy land border with me.

P3D

OK, I feared that Puerto Rico was left out somehow. I'll clean the tread out a few days later.

One can assume that Gran Colombian possessons have "Spanishized" names for places like St. George's.
I put my money on "Santiago" ....

Moving the discussion here.

QuoteBased on the list of island ownership found on around page 13 or so of the original maps thread.  One can assume that Gran Colombian possessons have "Spanishized" names for places like St. George's.
