The late 1904 reform produced, by early 1905, the following OdeB.

The 16 Heimwehr Korps, composed of weekend soldiers. Recruited locally, often friends or co-workers in everyday life. The social function was quite important, and Heimwehr Battalions or Companies often absorbed local rifle associations. Corprals, Sargeants and Lietenents are elected. Captains are a mixed bunch, while Majors and up are invariably Regulars.
The language of command is German and the "local language". It was not uncommon in mixed areas for battalions of same regiment to use different "local languages", e.g. 1st Battalion of the HIR 55 from Lemberg would be upperclass Polish, the 2nd Battalion lower class Polish, whilst the 3rd would be lower class Ucranian

The Landwehr - a step above in level of training over the Heimwehr, as it includes a 6 month period of continuos training. The four Landwehr Korps are all located in sensitive border regions, and the population often has a strong martial tradition.
Although numbered, in practice only names are used:
1 LW  Landeschutzen* - Tirol mountainers fiercely loyal to the Habsburgs, on the French and Italian frontiers
2 LW Domobrani* - Croats and Serbs - descendents of military settlers on Ottoman frontier, now with one eye on Italy, the other on the traditional foe
3 LW Grenzers - Serb, Hungarian and German military settlers on the middle Danube
4 LW Malta - self explicatory

* these corps group regiments which had been granted by the King of Aragon-Navarra, in perpetuity, the right to wear red Basque beretts; their battle honors roll includes "Spanien"

The Landwehr also includes four cavalry corps. The Heimwehr framework was deemed to be not enough for this specialized arm. All cavalry corps are now numbered in sequence:
2nd LW Hussars
3rd LW Hussars
4th LW Dragoons
5th LW Ulans

 Infanterie Korps composition

Corps Hospital, judiciary, trains, etc.
1 Heavy Field Artillery Regiment (schwere Feldartillerie Regiment - sFAR)
1 Cavalry Regiment, split into Divisions, called Dyon for short, each Dyon of two Squadrons assigned to one Infantry Division

2 Infantry Divisions

Infantry Division has
17 Infantry Batallions - 16 Line (in 4 Regiments a 4 battalions, grouped into 2 Brigades) +1 Jaeger battalion
5 Artillery batalions - 4 Field (Feldartillerie Abteilung FAA) and 1 Mountain (Gebirgsartillerie Abteilung - GAA), grouped into Field Artillery Regiment (Feldartillerie Regiment - FAR)

The Kaiserjaeger Korps differs in having reversed ratio of Feld and Gebirgs Artillerie Abteilungen, thus having a GAR (Gebirgsartillerie Regiment - GAR)
This corps is also unique in having 2 GAA in each GAR with mules, not horses.

Auslaender Legion corps
5 Brigades a 8 Battalions +1 Field Artillery Battalion (Feldartillerie Abteilung FAA)

3 Kavalerie Divisions, a 2 Brigades with 2 Regiments each, and a Jaeger (foot rifles) Battalion, and a Horse Artillery Battalion (Reitende Artillerie Abteilung - RAA) per Division

Even though apart from elements of uniform nothing differentiates the different types of cavalry - Dragoons, Hussars or Uhlans, the Korps are composed of regiments of same type, and are named accordingly:
1st and 2nd Dragoons, 3rd and 5th Hussars, 4th Uhlans

Note:
the 1st Dragoner Korps includes a Kuirassier Brigade

The 1905 Maximilian Resotoration failed, but tore away Tirol from the bossom of the Monarchy. Thus two corps were lost.
As replacements, the
Landwehr Korps "Heilige Dreieinigkeit" was raised in Parana,
and the Reichswehr Korps "Janos Hunyadi".
Both new Korps were numbered "fifth", the numbers of Landeschutzen and Kaiserjaeger being kept vacant, awaiting their return to Habsburg rule.

Due to split of Provinc Galizien, the following changes to Heimwehr Korps numbering was made:
- X Korps Galizien became Kleinpolen
- XI Korps Ost Galizien became Galizien

In early 1907 the LW Fortress Corps "Malta" was formed. This allowed the move of the 4th LW Korps to the mainland, where it was renamed the "Haidamak" Korps

In 1907 new weaponry and doctrine began to be implemented, producng the neueArt Korps and Divisions:

A 1907 Infantry Division has
12 Line Infantry Batallions - in 3 Regiments a 4 battalions
1 Jaeger Battalion - with high alotment of LMGs
1 Pionere Abteilung - equiped for assaulting fortifications - c. 1200 men
1 sMGAbt (schwereMachinegewehrAbteilung) - 64HMG (4 coys a 16 HMG)

1 Field Artillery Regiment (Feldartillerie Regiment - FAR), with 3 Field Light Howitzer (leicht Feldhuabitze Abteilung lFHA) battlaions, and one 1 Mountain (Gebirgsartillerie Abteilung - GAA) Artillery battalion

The 4th regiment of the Division was dissolved, contributing personell (and unit history) to the Pionere and sMG battalions.
The artillery is now mostly 4 inch howitzers, while the GAA is armed with light (c.600kg) 3 inch guns. The  4th field artillery battlalion was partly absrobed by the Pioneres, and partly by the corps level Heavy Field Artillery Regiment.

1 Heavy Field Artillery Regiment (schwere Feldartillerie Regiment - sFAR)
now with 24 howitzers of 6 inch calibre, and 8 guns of 4 inch calibre. These pieces share the same mounting.

Soon after the neueArt divisions begin to be rearmed, some last minute changes were changed.

The 4 inch howitzer was deemed to be too heavy, and replaced by a 3,5" weapon firing a 25 pound shell.

On the other hand, ordnance of the Heavy Artillery regiments was standarised as the
50 pounder gun of 4,5" calibre
and
100 pounder howitzer of 6" calibre

Machine Gun Battalions were cut back to 3 companies with 16 guns each, making the total 48 guns.

After the Balkan War, the 1st AFL was assigned to "Albadonia", ie. the Ottoman provinces of Albania and Macedonia, under Habsburg occupation and administration.

The Grenzer Korps started taking in recruits from Serbia. There is growing pressure to raise a Landwehr Korps in Serbia, tentatively named "Chetnik"

After the mobilisation brought about by the Dutch - Siam War, with the Heimwehr embodied from August 1916 to February 1917, had ended, the Militia was expanded. Two new Corps were raised.

The mixed militia-regular corps in Parana, Heilige Dreieinigkeit was split. It was divided into a Heimwehr Korps which carried on the name and tradition of the militia (some units originally raised in self defence against the Anahuac), while the short-time regulars formed the Kreuzfahrer Korps of the Landwehr. However, it was the latter which preserved the number - 5th. The militia was renumbered in-line with the Heimwehr's sequence - to XVIII.

In Europe the Serbian short-timers were taken out from the Grenzer and Domobrani Korps, and formed into the Tschetnik Korps, which was given the number 6.

From 1918 onwards there is to be a general rearming of the Heimwehr to a higher standard.
