Note that this is certainly not the Chagos we know from our world.  Diego Garcia would correspond roughly with the Ottoman entity.

Sharp. :)

The four islands that can be "seen as green" in the northern part of the German area are, north to south:

Neue Föhr
Neue Vilm
Neue Ummanz
Neue Rügen

You're welcome.  Tips are accepted.

I named one of the Iberian Islands "Bom Jesus".

Now, the betting is open on the name of the other one:
- Santa Maria
- San Salvador
- Santiago
- ????

And which one of these islands is Tortugas? The Northern ones currently labeled as Indian, or Northern DKB islands?

Below 40 degrees, there is no law. Below 50 degrees, there is no God. sailor's maxim on weather in the Southern seas

The Tortugas, as I recall, were located between the Chagos and Keeling, slightly closer to Keeling.

(I saw one of the maps somewhere in one of the threads that showed the Tortugas, but can't for the life of me remember where it is.  :( )

I was under the impression it was the one marked India, or at least one of those islands (the old map thread has Desertfox claiming "4" as Tortugas).

It is, in fact...

linky

...those claimed by Bharat.

Which means that:
1. There are going to be a LOT more scorpion-counters in short order.
2. The Swiss had better be VERY grateful that the Orangemen arrived in the Tortugas just before the DKB declared war, causing the operation to bombard said islands to be called off.
3. There's an international incident brewing between Bharat and Orange (and the Swiss, but there's nothing new there).

P3D

Hm, if India is claiming Tortugas then they have claims over the whole Chagos. Filthy furriners came and took it. Therefore all islands has the same legal status...accepted by the world save India...

Sounds like a normal 19th century problem.

Ahoj!
So THAT'S the Swiss Tortugas!
I previously equated them with the Keeling Islands.

Had I known this before ...BOOP!

The author of the addition to Australia - I think it was Korpen - asked to identify where did he take that piece of land from. I initialy suspected it to be North Scandinavia (I thought I saw the Rybaciy Polostrov/ Fisherman's Peninsula there), but something "wasn't right". Finally tracked it down dtoday - it's the Antarctic Pensinsula.
