Akhilleus class, Orange ACR laid down 1887, refit 1901

C1 Akhilleus (broken up), C2 Ajax, C3 Agamemmon

Three Orange cruisers designed as commerce raiders. Relatively weak in ship-to-ship combat, they took part in the Battle of the Taiwan Straits where they were mauled by Austrian armored cruisers that were more fit for fighting the battleline. Akhilleus was broken up and used to repair the other two.
They went through a mid-life refit in 1901, and they are heavily used by the navy due to their relatively cheap maintenance cost.

Olympos class cruisers, laid down 1896

C4 Olympos, C5 Orion, C6 Odysseys

Continuing the heavy commerce raider line of the previous class, 12 years of advancement and a generous displacement resulted in faster and more heavily armored cruisers. The Navy do not like them much, though, they are underarmored to their counterparts, and now slower than some battleships in service.

The acquisition of two Russian scout cruisers was arranged during the brief New Zion war. The deal was finalized despite the cessation of the hostilities. The ships were refitted in Kronshtad with Orange FC, the armament save the main guns were changed to Orange ordnance, and  installing a few more 4" guns. The ships were commissioned by the ORN in May 1915.
